To Bloom Returns with Sophomore Single, “Wander”

We met Portland progressive rock band To Bloom last summer when they were quite literally brand new to the scene.
They released their first single, “Marionette” which featured Joey Holiday of Anemoria, to a solid response.

After months of waiting and surviving quarantine, the band has finally returned with their sophomore single, “Wander”.

This song, like their debut, was recorded and produced by Stephan Hawkes at Interlace Audio.

When I first heard the song I thought they had obtained a rare Kurt Travis feature. The intro has a prog rock-esque guitar part that ushers in the super smooth vocals.

This song has a bit of a darker tone than it’s predecessor. The instrumental drives relentlessly throughout the almost 5 minute track.
Everything about this single is taking a huge step forward for the band, from the post-hardcore breakdown to the album art. “Wander” finds To Bloom improving immensely on their already solid debut.

The band is currently working on a 4 song EP that we should see sometime in 2021.

If you’re a fan of Eidola, Kurt Travis, or anything similar, you have to listen to To Bloom’s new single.
