We got to know Sara Henya earlier this year when she released her single “Pancakes”. The song was simple and fun and definitely showed off Henya’s talents at singing and playing the harp.
She has returned relatively quickly with a new track “Walk Through the Woods”.
This song is a lush, logical evolution of Henya’s previous work. It finds her coming the closest she ever has to a mainstream pop song.
The fantasy aspect of her work shines through beautifully here, as you could have guessed from the title.
A deep synth and Henya’s harmonies guide us into the entrance of the woods.
An almost R&B-like hook is there to greet us along with harp that doesn’t take over, but rather serves as an amazing compliment to an already strong track.
A belief in magic is a prerequisite for Henya’s guided tour of the unknown woods. Perhaps an open mind is all that’s needed because after this walk, you will certainly believe in magic if you didn’t already.
