Faint Louis is an 18 year old producer from The Netherlands. He started making music at the ago of 15 after attending a local music festival.
He immediately downloaded a DAW and began experimenting with sounds.
His first project was called Illicite and after two years of releasing under that moniker he shifted focus to this new project.
He released his first EP for this project in June 2020. Titled !Faint!Louis!, this serves as a relatively short intro to the chaotic and beautiful mind of the artist. The EP features Belgian producer Kaske and vocalist Clayra.
There’s an experimental element to Faint Louis’ music reminiscent of FKA Twigs.
This is the type of music I would expect to hear featured on Adult Swim. The combinations of sounds is begging for some insane animations to be partnered with them.
His newest single “Stay In Touch” was just released last month and features a New York producer/vocalist, Goldilux.
This is probably the closest thing to a pop song in Faint Louis’ catalog. The vocal treatment and sharp cuts remind me a little of 100 gecs.
On top of making music, Faint Louis is also creating digital art. He works with Blender and Paint and cites his art inspirations as Dali and Mondriaan.
