It’s been confirmed that rapper Juice Wrld has died at only 21 years old after a seizure in the Chicago Midway Airport.
DJ Akademiks released a few videos on his Twitter account showing the flight beforehand. The flight was going from L.A. to Chicago late Saturday night/early Sunday morning. Juice Wrld seems to be in good spirits, fully engaged and happy on the private jet.
The plane landed early Sunday morning and witnesses say that as Juice Wrld got off the plane he suffered a seizure as he was walking through the airport. Law enforcement sources say he was bleeding from the mouth by the time paramedics arrived. I’ve also seen conflicting reports that he suffered the seizure before getting off the plane. Those details will become clearer as we get more information.
He was still conscious while being transported but was pronounced dead a little while later at the hospital. So far, the cause of death has not been determined.
As I am writing this more reports are coming out. It turns out that Juice Wrld was going to celebrate his 21st birthday on Sunday night. Let that sink in. He was flying into Chicago to attend his own birthday party.
TMZ is also reporting that the FBI found and confiscated 70 pounds of marijuana and an undisclosed amount codeine cough syrup from the bags on board that private jet flight.
Several members of Juice Wrld’s team also reported that he had taken “several unknown pills” prior to the seizures that led him to the hospital. Allegedly one of his associates told authorities that Juice had a Percocet problem. The Cook County Medial Examiner will perform an autopsy today (Monday, December 9) and we will have more information at that point.
